Julie-Anne and Tracey bring the Surestart Toy and Library Van
to our Nursery. We can visit the van with our big people and
borrow toys. |

John from Belfast Zoo brought lots of animals. Polkadot the
gecko was covered in spots and stick insect Rosie was hanging
upside down. Sally the snake felt cold and dry when we touched
her. |

Tuesday 23rd March 2010
Donna from Thorntons visited us today. We all got to write our
name on an Easter egg and then we were allowed to take it home.

Thursday 18th March 2010
We got on two big coaches and all went to Finvoy Fun Farm. It
was very windy, but we had a great day. New baby lambs had just
been born. Thank you to all the big people who came to help us. |

Wednesday 10th - Monday 15th March 2010
We held a Book Fair in our Nursery. The big people bought lots
of books and we raised £134.30 to buy books for the school
library. |

Thursday 11th March 2010
The Fire People brought their big red fire engine. We listened
to the siren and all got a turn to squirt the hose. |

Thursday 4th March 2010
We all got dressed up for World Book Day. There were so many
different outfits. It was great fun to see some of the Teachers
and Nursery Assistants dressed up too. We all looked lovely. |

Tuesday 23rd February 2010
Nick from Paramedi-Kidz brought his sick dog Henry to visit
us. We took him to the Paramedi-Kidz ambulance and made him
better. |

We made pancakes in Nursery. They were delicious! |

Thursday 28th January 2010
Debbie from TACT brought some of the animals which she has
rescued into our Nursery. We saw a hedgehog and a ferret. She
even brought her pet fox which sleeps in beside her at night. |

Monday 25th January 2010
We listened to a funny story about 'Patrick and the Magic
Violin'. Jack, Sean and Gay played lots of lovely instruments. |

We went into our igloo and guess who was sitting inside -
Santa! He brought us all a lovely present. Thank you Santa! |

Thursday 15th December - Cambridge House
Cambridge House Grammar School Band visited Nursery
with all their instruments. They played lots of
Christmas songs for us. Dunclug Nursery Band then
joined in. Oh what a beautiful sound! |

| Thursday 10th December - Monkey Business
We all got on buses and went for a Christmas visit
to Monkey Business. We had a busy day and had great
fun all playing together. |

Tuesday 10th November - Willow Tunnel and Dome
We got a willow tunnel and dome planted in our Nursery
garden. They are both made from growing willow trees
and in spring time, will grow lots of new shoots and
leaves which we will then weave in and out through
the willow branches. We will be very busy! |

Monday 9th November - Mwamba Children's Choir
The children from the Mwamba Children's Choir were
singing and dancing in our Nursery. We joined in and
had so much fun. It was fantastic! |

Tuesday 27th October - World of Owls
Mike from the World of Owls brought Spangles the
Barn Owl, who flew up and down our veranda in Nursery
School. She was really beautiful. Her friend Harley,
a large Eagle Owl, and some animal friends also came
to visit. |

Thursday 15th October 2009
Richard and Steve from the Ulster Orchestra showed us how to
make an instrument using a hosepipe and a funnel. We had so much
fun singing and clapping to music. The big trombone was really
funny. It made high sounds and low sounds. |

Thursday 8th October 2009
Eileen Russell, the Early Years Support Officer for Libraries
NI, came to visit and read stories about the adventures of
pirates. She then presented all pre-school children with a
Treasure Chest ... complete with a secret compartment, and a
lovely book for our children in their penultimate year. |

Wednesday 7th October 2009
The Library Service very generously provided a visit from
Hullabaloo. The children became involved in the story of
Goldilocks and the Three Bears and were completely mesmerised by
the antics of the puppetry. |
