with all their instruments. They played lots of
Christmas songs for us. Dunclug Nursery Band then
joined in. Oh what a beautiful sound!
Thursday 10th December - Monkey Business
We all got on buses and went for a Christmas visit
to Monkey Business. We had a busy day and had great
fun all playing together.
Tuesday 10th November - Willow Tunnel and Dome
We got a willow tunnel and dome planted in our Nursery
garden. They are both made from growing willow trees
and in spring time, will grow lots of new shoots and
leaves which we will then weave in and out through
the willow branches. We will be very busy!

Monday 9th November - Mwamba Children's Choir
The children from the Mwamba Children's Choir were
singing and dancing in our Nursery. We joined in and
had so much fun. It was fantastic!

Tuesday 27th October - World of Owls
Mike from the World of Owls brought Spangles the
Barn Owl, who flew up and down our veranda in Nursery
School. She was really beautiful. Her friend Harley,
a large Eagle Owl, and some animal friends also came
to visit.

Thursday 15th October
Richard and Steve from the Ulster Orchestra showed us
how to make an instrument using a hosepipe and a
funnel. We had so much fun singing and clapping to
music. The big trombone was really funny. It made
high sounds and low sounds.

Thursday 8th October
Eileen Russell, the Early Years Support Officer for
Libraries NI, came to visit and read stories about
the adventures of pirates. She then presented all
pre-school children with a Treasure Chest ... complete
with a secret compartment, and a lovely book for
our children in their penultimate year.

Wednesday 7th October
The Library Service very generously provided a visit
from Hullabaloo. The children became involved in the
story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and were
completely mesmerised by the antics of the puppetry.
