Our Nursery serves the community of Ballymena
and surrounding areas. We have two fully-equipped
classrooms each with their own quiet room and toilet
facilities. There is access from both classrooms to
a veranda which provides opportunities for large
scale physical play.
We have a mature garden area at the front of
the school and a newly surfaced playpark both of
which offer challenging and exciting experiences.
Other outdoor areas provide opportunities for
activities such as role play, sand and water play
and gardening.
Through observation, sensitive involvement in play
and regular contact with parents, our fully qualified
Teaching Staff and Nursery Assistants ensure each child
receives a quality nursery education. We have developed
excellent links with local primary schools and
community groups and continue to build on these
foundations.

Afternoon session (Blue class)

(We aim to open at 8:50am to accommodate parents going to work.)
We aim to harness children's enthusiasm and sense of
wonder and use this to extend the child's knowledge and
understanding of the world around them. We also aim to provide
a safe and challenging environment where the child is free
to make choices and decisions.
Parents are always welcome in Dunclug Nursery. We work
hard at establishing good relationships with parents so that
effective two-way communication can take place. Parents are
kept informed of their child's progress, the curriculum and
general information.
Our core commitment is that children should develop
to their full potential and that Nursery should be fun!
